Directions to Morton Community Center

From Lafayette (from east heading west on SR. 26)

Cross Wabash River on Indiana 26 (State Street). Go past two traffic lights (Tapawingo) and Indiana 43 (River Road), past McDonald's and immediately past Triple XXX (Orange and black drive in). Turn right on Salisbury St. going up short hill, head north two blocks crossing South St. and Columbia and turning left at North St. Head west one half block to north entrance of Morton Community Parking lot. Turn left into parking lot. You can also go further up hill on State St. to Chauncey Avenue, going north past library parking garage and library, turn right at North St., go one half block east, turn right into Morton parking lot.

From West Lafayette (from north heading south on Salisbury St.)

Drive south on Salisbury St.. Cross Fowler and Wiggins (two traffic lights heading south, Go one block to North St., Turn right and then one half-block later turn left into Morton Parking Lot

From Lafayette (Harrison Bridge)

heading west across Wabash River (Union St. in Lafayette becomes Fowler after crossing river.) After crossing river go past down-ramps leading to North River Road, get into left lane when approaching traffic light at Salisbury St., Turn left, get into right lane, cross Wiggins (traffic light), Go one additional short block to North St, Turn right and then one half-block later turn left into Morton Parking Lot.

From west of West Lafayette (On State Road 26 heading east)

(a) Go east on SR 26 through Purdue campus, follow traffic SR 26 (right from State St. and then left onto Wood St.) Get into left lane, turn left at Grant St. and get into right lane. Drive two blocks north on Grant St. (between Purdue Union and Parking Garage) Turn right on North St. Head two and one half-blocks east on North St. to entrance of Morton Parking Lot. Turn right into lot. (There may be some difficulty crossing Northwestern, so consider route( b) instead.

(b) Heading east on SR 26 (State St.), do not go through Purdue campus on State St.. Instead, turn left at McCormick Road-Airport Road at traffic light near Purdue Service Center -shopping area). Head north on McCormick Road to Stadium Avenue, turn right, head east on Stadium to Northwestern (three traffic lights and one 4 way stop between McCormick and Northwestern) staying in right lane. At Northwestern turn right (McDonald's on corner-also Neil Armstrong Bldg). Drive on Northwestern past Grant St. intersection (traffic light) Then you have two choices:

  1. Continue on Northwestern heading toward Chauncey Hill Mall, but turn left at North St. This means you will have to be in left lane, once main traiffic has turned left earlier to head east on Wiggins. Once on North St. you will cross Chauncey, then go one half block to Morton parking lot, turn right into lot.
  2. Stay with main traffic flow staying in right lane but look for traffic signal at Salisbury St., turn right at light, head one block south on Salisbury to North St. Turn right, then one half block and turn into Morton Parking Lot.

From North (Northwestern Avenue)

Driving south from Lindberg Avenue go down hill past Purdue sports complex, cross Stadium Avenue at traffic light, past Grant St. intersection, then follow choices 1 or 2 listed immediately above.
